This volume is based on a 2006 conference honoring Kuniholm (now emeritus, Cornell U.), a pioneer in the field of dendrochronology, who founded what is now the Malcolm and Carolyn Weiner laboratory for Aegean and Near-Eastern Dendrochronology at Cornell. The keynote address provides an overview of revolutions in tree-ring dating and remaining challenges, e.g., the dating of the Santorini/Thera/Minoan eruption. Following a Kuniholm bibliography, international contributors to 29 chapters discuss aspects of his 'dendro time,' including recording events of global climate impact. Illustrations feature site maps and photos, sampling and recording methods, and data plots. Not indexed. Distributed in North America by The David Brown Book Co.
