This book comprises of selected and peer-reviewed papers presented at the 2024 7th International Conference on Green Energy and Environment Engineering (CGEEE 2024), in Seoul, South Korea during July 4-6, 2024. The conference is sponsored by University of Seoul, Korea, co-sponsored by Jeju National University, and Jeju Green Environment Centre, which aims to bring together innovative academics and industrial experts from all over the world. Dr. Jinkeun Kim is a professor of the Department of Environmental Engineering at the Jeju National University since 2011. He received a B.S. in Environmental Engineering at University of Seoul in 1991 and a M.S. in Environmental Health Sciences at Seoul National University in 1994. He worked as an engineer at Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-water) for ten years prior to start his Ph.D course. He received a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin in 2004. His research is in the areas of water and wastewater treatment processes; water quality management and groundwater management.





Dr. Zhe Chen has been a Professor at Department of Energy Technology, Aalborg University, Denmark since 2002. He received the B.Eng. and M.Sc. degrees all in Electrical Engineering (Power Plants and Power System automation) from Northeast China Institute of Electric Power Engineering, Jilin City, China, the MPhil in Power Electronic, from Staffordshire University, England and the Ph.D. degree in Power and Control, from University of Durham, England. Dr Chen has been the leader of Wind Power System Research program at the Department of Energy Technology, Aalborg University and the Danish Principle Investigator for Wind Energy of Sino-Danish Centre for Education and Research. His main current research interests are power electronics, power grids and new energy technologies. He has more than 800 publications in these fields, and he has also led and participated in many research and industrial projects. Professor Chen has served as a panel member and/or an evaluator for many research funding organization in many countries. He is an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, a member of editorial boards for a number of international scientific and technical journals. Dr Chen is a Fellow IEEE (FIEEE), a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (FIET), a member of European Academy of Sciences and Arts and a Chartered Engineer in the U.K.
