For students who have a firm grasp of the basics, Kinder (Italian, U. of Western Australia) and Savini (tutor in Italian, U. of Western Australia) offer a guide to more advanced contemporary use of Italian. The book centers on words, clauses, sentences, and texts that are particularly difficult for English-speakers and contains a chapter on dialect and the language today, and a grammar and Italian word index.
