The London Loom is a weaving studio in Hackney in East London, founded by Brooke Dennis and Francesca Kletz. Brooke and Francescas aim is to build a community of people who love making things with their hands, promoting the therapeutic benefits of crafting. Their customers are encouraged to learn new, substantial craft skills, to create things that are a joy to make and that they want to keep. The London Loom hosts community workshops and smaller classes where adults and children work alongside each other, inspiring creativity from your neighbour no matter what age or joke-range. Ultimately its about sharing the good that everyone feels from learning new skills and making beautiful, tactile things. Brooke and Francesca also teach and host a range of alternative craft classes as well as their beginners weaving classes. Its good, substantial and occasionally obnoxious fun.
