This manual, which is one of a series on diagnostic imaging, presents radiographic images alongside descriptions of the pathologic changes that they show. Initial chapters describe the general principles of x-rays, a guide to terminology, and summarize normal anatomy (with radiographs for illustration). The goal of the series is to present resources for health care personnel using radiography in small and mid-size hospitals where other diagnostic techniques may not be available. The authors and seven collaborators are radiologists in university hospitals in nine countries. Annotation (c) Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
